Ethiopian 'Tej' Inspired Wine Brand Wins Shark Tank with $750,000 Deal and 4 SharksBee D'Vine, a high-end honey wine inspired by Ethiopian Traditional drink "Tej", became the winner of last week's Shark Tank. Ayele Solomon, the founder, and winemaker, got a deal from the four sharks- $750,000 for 40% stake. Read more here and here.

Pragma Technologies Partners With Simulants To Provide ICT and Industrial Training in Ethiopia
Pragma Technologies, an extended wing under Pragma Advisory, which is a technology service management platform that promotes regional and international partnerships, announced an alliance with Simulants (Pty) Ltd, a South African technology-based training and development company.
Pragma will officially represent Simulants in Ethiopia where a sizable gap has been identified in the area of human capital development focused primarily on technology and related fields of profession. Read More

Qene Games Signed A Global Publishing Deal With Carry1st
Qene Games, a startup that previously developed KuKulu, a 3D runner game, signed a partnership with Carry1st to publish Gebeta, a studio’s modern take on the traditional game of mancala.
Gebeta is a free-to-play mobile board game built on the core principles of mancala games that primarily played through Africa and South Asia. As the partnership enhances Qene Game a global publishing deal, Carry1st will be responsible for funding and managing user acquisition, distribution, live operations, and community for the game.
