The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Ministry of Innovation and Technology of Ethiopia (MinT) are pleased to announce the Ethiopia Startup Innovation Pitch, an event open for investors and companies from Japan, Europe, the U.S., and Ethiopia, as well as anyone interested in Africa.Selected from 114 companies, eight Ethiopian startups will present their pitches to demonstrate the attractiveness of Ethiopian startups to the rest of the world.The virtual event will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (EAT). Digital Driving License to Make Debut in Addis AbabaAccording to Fortune Newspaper, drivers residing in Addis Ababa will be issued digital licenses in the coming year. The IDs will also serve as transboundary ID cards with microchips that store data on driving history. Read more.
